The 2010 Jaipur Literature Festival, is the venue for the launch of the first series of ‘Being Human’ Workshops, from 21st to 25th January 2010. Come to the Jaipur Literature Festival to be a part of it and other activities.
About ‘Being Human’
“Hu” means light and “Man” means person.
We Humans are people of light, made in the likeness of the Creator, Universal Life Force Energy.
To be Human is to be blessed with intelligence, awareness and an ability to make our choices.
As we exercise “our free will” to create our own Reality, we choose to make it as expansive and inclusive as we wish.
Why then do we use our human-ness as an excuse, as an apology for a moment of weakness – “Forgive me, I am only Human!”
Why do we dis-credit our existence as creative beings, who can make appropriate choices to create a world of love and harmony?
The world today is on the brink of a social, economic and environmental disaster because of a scaling down of the Human Vision, a whittling down of a larger Plan that was intended for the collective good, a narrowing of focus towards individual gain.
The time has come for a Renaissance, a “rebirth” of the Human!
It is time to expand our Vision, to receive our Light and become once more the Beings of love that were sent to inhabit the Earth.
“BEING HUMAN” are a series of workshops through which young people could discover and express Self determining issues like:
The Qualities and core Values that define a HuMan.
Appropriate responses of a Human in situations of conflict, discrimination, violence
Solutions to the greed and hatred so prevalent today.
Most importantly, who AM I? Is my operating energy Love or Fear? Do I give myself the Respect that I seek outside? What defines my Self Worth? WHO IS MY SELF?
As the workshops evolve they would touch upon issues of Universal Human Rights of life, liberty and livelihood and seek answers about resolving the violence men inflict upon each another.
The intent is to make young people pause, reflect upon their essential Being and construct a new paradigm of success by which they can co-exist peacefully with all fellow humans.
